Troop One Hingham was established in 1910 and is among the oldest continuous troops in the United States.
We
meet Thursday nights in the Troop One Scout House on Leavitt Street,
from 7:00 - 8:30 pm (check the Calendar for exact schedule).
Troop One is a general-interest troop with a varied
program of camping, service and advancement. We camp out monthly
during the school year as well as a week-long summer camp at Camp
Squanto and some high-adventure trips for the older boys.
We encourage, and are fortunate to have tremendous
parental support in our troop. Through the years we have found that
the likelihood of a boy becoming Eagle is strongly linked to the
amount of parental support that the boy receives in Scouting.
Troop One Hingham is charted under the Boy Scouts of America. The
documents listed below provide a detailed overview of the Boy Scout
program, including the purposes, aims and methods, and history of
Boy Scouting.
